FROGHAVEN FARM SHEEP & GOATS
All of our sheep and goats are grass fed and hormone free. We do use antibiotics and medications as needed to treat issues. We do not feed grain or run a feedlot. We are not however organic.
Goats: Seasonally we have available fainting and pygmy goats for sale. In the spring we have bottle babies. By summer we have does and wethers and year round we have does for sale. I think baby goats are the cutest animals on earth. Call for availability and pricing.
Sheep: We raise purebred St. Croix sheep and crosses, as well as Katahdin sheep crossed with Dorper hair sheep, for sale as meat, companions, and lawn mowers. The lambs come out in all sorts of patterns and colors and are quite a sight to see running back and forth in the pasture. Our lambing time is in the spring from February to April and we often have bottle babies available at that time. Other times of the year we have weanlings, yearlings, rams, and ewes of all ages available. We also lease rams seasonally.
We do not need to shear our sheep, since they shed naturally, and only dock the tails of the ewes. They male lambs are left au natural as we do not castrate them either. They make excellent table fare when taken to market at 100 pounds of weight. We can provide a custom lamb that we can take to market for you, but we cannot sell individual cuts. Market size lambs are available August through December. Call for availability and pricing.
